Database Migration Assists. Got a Database? What to make Schema Changes? OK, how do you make the schema change and then migrate all the data from one database to another?
That is a simple question that has a complex answer. Whitemarsh not only has applications that can be downloaded and executed, but it also has demo databases that are installed.
That, however is not the end of the trek.

What happens when a new application version is released? How do you migrate existing data into the "new" database that while it might be generally the same, still has differences such as adding tables, adding columns, and oh, by the way, migrating all the data rows?
That is what the Whitemarsh Database Migration System tackled. After a two year trek, a generalized verious of such a program was created. It not only works, but it works well. At the present time (April, 2024) this system reads and builds the execution processes from Clarion TXDs, one old and the other new. An upgraded version will soon work from and Old SQL Schema and a New SQL schema. Once done, the database migration system will be independent from Clarion-only use.
